LightStream is covered by Liability Insurance for Business and Worker Compensation Insurance. These policies protect you in case of accidental property damage or injury to an employee.

We urge clients to demand third party documentation to verify that workers on your property or place of business are actually covered by an appropriate policy. It is not enough to simply believe it when a company says it is insured. The steep insurance rates that window cleaners, roofers, and tree trimmers pay actually encourages otherwise honest individuals to say they are insured, even when they are not.

Beware of owner/operators who claim to be insured by a worker policy. Owners can not be covered by worker compensation insurance. They must purchase separate policies. This rarely occurs. If a business owner is injured and uninsured, you may end up liable. We cannot urge enough care on this topic. Workers who climb ladders, work on rooftops, climb trees, and work off of scaffolding must carry appropriate insurance. The risk of injury due to a fall is too high to simply trust the word of a service provider. Please demand that verification of appropriate coverage be supplied directly to you from the insurance provider.

We will in turn relay your contact information to our insurance providers so that they can verify our insurance directly to you.
